Aims and Scope

Aims

Geohuman: People, Place, and Power aims to advance critical and applied scholarship on the spatial dimensions of human life, environmental change, governance, culture, technology, and power. The journal seeks to become a scholarly forum for research that connects people, place, and power through geographical thinking and spatial evidence.

Scope

The journal considers manuscripts in the following areas:

·        Human geography and place-based studies.

·        Urban, rural, and regional transformation.

·        Geospatial methods, GIS, remote sensing, participatory mapping, and geovisualization for social and environmental analysis.

·        Spatial justice, inequality, marginality, stigma, exclusion, and territorial politics.

·        Environmental governance, sustainability, landscape change, disaster risk, and climate adaptation.

·        Cultural landscapes, heritage, local knowledge, community-based spatial practices, and indigenous geographies.

·        Land-use change, green infrastructure, ecological planning, and socio-ecological resilience.

·        Political ecology, resource conflict, border studies, mobility, migration, and spatial policy.

·        Digital geographies, spatial media, volunteered geographic information, and technology-mediated place-making.
